Truth be told, I have craved healthy food my entire life; it’s just who I am. Don’t get me wrong, I never deprive myself of indulgences, but I really love my Kale t-shirt. Lately, I’ve been wanting to ramp-up my food game. My goal is to start incorporating even more plant based meals into my daily life.
With this new drive, I wanted to start by creating some new drinks. The latest joins my love of coconut water and matcha tea.
Lemon Matcha Coconut Water
3/4 tsp Lemon Matcha (I used Tea Shirt’s sample they sent previously)
4 oz Hot Water
Bring water to a near boil and pour 4oz of hot water over the matcha powder. Use your preferred method to whisk the matcha until frothed. I use my DavidsTea Match Maker. Add agave to tea (if desired), stir/whisk to combine and set aside.
In a tall glass, add ice and coconut water. For the coconut water, add as much as you desire. The more you add, the less concentrated your matcha flavor will be. Don’t be afraid to add extra water if your coconut water is too sweet for your taste. Finally, pour your matcha into the glass. Stir and enjoy.
